Hdfc bank launches biz plus current account suite for small businesses

Mumbai: HDFC Bank introduced a new suite of current account products called Biz+ to cater to small businesses across various stages of growth. The launch comes amid increased competition among banks for MSME accounts and a regulatory focus on expanding the sector.

The offering includes four variants—Biz Lite+, Biz Pro+, Biz Ultra+, and Biz Elite+—designed for the setup, growth, expansion, and diversification phases of a business. These accounts come with bundled services such as cash handling, digital banking, and relationship manager support. Customers new to the bank also get business and payment protection insurance for the first year.

Each variant provides tiered benefits. Biz Lite+ offers a free cash deposit limit six times the account balance, tax savings through complimentary debit cards, insurance, and shop-device rental waivers. Biz Pro+ raises the deposit limit to ten times and adds access to zero-collateral overdraft loans and PoS rental waivers. Biz Ultra+ increases the cash deposit multiple to 12, includes benefits on a BizPower credit card worth up to Rs 1.3 lakh annually, and provides deals via the Preferred Program. Biz Elite+ offers a 15X deposit limit, Imperia Program benefits, pan-India collections through cash management, and waiver of foreign bank charges on overseas remittances.

The suite is structured to evolve with the business, offering sector-specific solutions. Accounts are available across 9,455 branches and are targeting over 45 lakh small businesses . HDFC Bank said the bundled model integrates liabilities, asset products, business cards, and digital payments under a single offering.

The launch is part of the bank’s One Bank approach and reflects its focus on supporting business growth and entrepreneurship through integrated banking services.
