Enterprise security firm Mitsogo opens office in Chennai
CHENNAI: California-headquartered Mitsogo Inc, a provider of unified endpoint security solutions, has set up a new office in Chennai, and said it plans to make the city a key hub.
Currently a 40-member team in Chennai, the total strength is expected to go up to 300 in the next few months. Mitsogo's CEO Apu Pavithran said they are planning to move to a 500-seater facility in Chennai by the end of year.
Mitsogo is on the path to hire freshers from over 250 colleges across the country including the NITs and IITs. This major recruitment drive is aimed at reaching out to more than 25,000 students in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh through an online testing platform, Mitsogo said.
Mitsogo said it has also revamped its salary packages with fresher packages for the software analyst role starting at Rs 9.5 lakh per annum and packages for other roles range between Rs. 6-7.5 lakh per annum.
"About 70-80% of talent are on their first jobs at Mitsogo. This format has worked well as the resources are put through an exhaustive year-long training programme to emerge as the most suitable talent pool," Pavithran said.
This is Mitsogo's second office in India, with the first in Kochi, Kerala where they already have more than 250 employees, of which a majority part of the team is for product development. The company has offices in Australia and Germany.
The company grew almost 33% in terms of headcount and a 200% revenue hike due to an induced demand with the shift from office to ‘work from home’ environment. Its future plans include a target for a further 200% increase in revenue.
Started in 2013 in Kochi, the enterprise security SaaS firm competes with titans like Microsoft, VMware and others with its product Hexnode. Its customer portfolio spreads across Fortune 500 to Fortune 100 companies.
