DLF may gain from SEZ closure

KOLKATA: DLF has the potential to gain from losing the SEZ status for its second IT/ITeS centre in Rajarhat on the northern fringes of Kolkata since a denotification would free it of the numerous restrictions imposed on the kind of clients it can attract to such a facility. Sources said that provided DLF does not end up scrapping the project, ���the company has the option to convert this facility into a normal commercial building where it will have the liberty to let out space to any tenant, irrespective of whether the prospective customer is engaged in exports or not.���
