Cisco runners club is 1,000-strong now
The Cisco Runners Club started with a modest group of 40 runners, but the club now has over 1,000 people in its Bengaluru campus. Members participate in running events across India, including 5K, 10K, half marathons and marathons. The club has witnessed some extraordinary achievements.
Several members have successfully completed major global marathons like the Boston Marathon, the Berlin Marathon, and the New York Marathon. The club recently expanded its scope by welcoming cyclists into its ranks. By combining running and cycling, the club aims to enhance its members’ fitness journeys further and foster a spirit of collaboration.
Shiva Kumar Y, MD of commercial & SMB in Cisco India & Saarc, says the growth of the club shows how much Cisconians care about their own well-being and that of fellow runners. “I thoroughly enjoy running, volunteering, and getting inspiration from this bunch! This team continues to raise the bar high in achieving milestones year after year. ’’
