BNY India consolidates GCC office space in Kharadi
PUNE: Financial services firm BNY India has consolidated all of its operations in Pune to a new office space in Kharadi. The Indian arm of the New York based bank operates a global capability centre (GCC) operations in Pune.
"Pune is truly a global city with an incredible talent pool. BNY has continued to invest in India to build on our legacy of resilience, innovation to service our clients globally and develop solutions by attracting and retaining top, diverse talent. We are focusing on strengthening our talent pipeline by tapping into the early career talent through our various campus outreach initiatives," Sudish Panicker, MD, BNY India, said in a statement.
"Our presence in India plays an important role in providing cutting-edge integrated solutions, business and functional support to all our clients globally. The consolidation of our offices in Chennai and now Pune is an integral part of our company’s location strategy as we elevate the client experience, create state-of-the-art employee workspaces and collaborate with local research institutions," · Alejandro Perez, Chief Administrative Officer, BNY, said.
The Pune campus is a 10 lakh sq ft facility spread across two interconnected buildings, rising to 16 floors. It is equipped with electric vehicle (EV) charging stations, at specific points supporting sustainable workplace requirements. The amenities support employees at all hours of the work week, with a variety of food and beverage choices in food courts, an on-site fitness center and a health center offering a comprehensive suite of health benefits including pharmacy, and a wellness center.
BNY has six strategic growth locations or GCCs across the world, with two in the US, two in Europe and two in India. GCCs as a sector is evolving from serving as a cost saving function of multinational companies (MNC) is turning to be hub for value addition and product development for many conglomerates. GCCs are offshore or nearshore technology hubs established by MNCs to leverage global talent pools, optimise operations and drive innovation.
