Blueprint of PM's vision for developed India, says Shah
BJP and its partners hailed the Budget, with home minister Amit Shah and other senior party functionaries calling it the "blueprint" of PM Narendra Modi's vision to make India a developed country.
Shah said the Budget covered every section, from farmers, poor and women to the middle class, and every sector, from nutrition and health to startups, innovation and investment, adding that it was the road map for "PM's self-reliant India".
"I congratulate PM Narendra Modi and finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman for this comprehensive and visionary Budget," he said.
Defence minister Rajnath Singh congratulated the FM for presenting an "excellent and epoch-making budget", which he said was aligned with Modi's vision for 'Viksit Bharat'. "This Budget has taken an all-inclusive approach, from empowering poor sections of our society to farmers to MSMEs to industries, and also strengthening research in advanced technologies like artificial intelligence," he said. Singh added that Modi's vision to make India self-reliant in the defence sector had got a "big boost" in the Budget.
BJP president J P Nadda said the Budget was a "visionary roadmap" that embodied the aspirations of 140 crore Indians and showed the way towards Modi's vision for 'Viksit Bharat'.
"I express my gratitude to PM Modi, congratulate finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and her team for the visionary and futuristic, growth-oriented and all-inclusive Budget," he added.
JDU working president and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Jha thanked Modi and Sitharaman for the slew of measures for Bihar. He said the Budget had introduced long-term, inclusive measures for youth, women, farmers and the underprivileged. He added the Budget offered several benefits for Bihar, which would not only accelerate development but also open new avenues for increasing opportunities for youth, farmers and entrepreneurs.
Shiv Sena's Shrikant Shinde said NDA govt had again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to inclusive growth and economic transformation. "The Budget continues Modi govt's decade-long commitment to empowering every section of society - be it the gareeb, yuva, annadata or naari - in our collective journey towards a Viksit Bharat."
