Bigbasket buys milk delivery co DailyNinja
Bengaluru: Online grocery major
Bigbasket said BBDaily currently makes around 1.6 lakh deliveries a day of items like fresh fruits, vegetables, bread, dairy, eggs and, personal and baby care products. The deal will help BBDaily expand its volumes by three times in the next 12 months. TOI had reported about Bigbasket’s plans of acquiring DailyNinja last week, and had added that it was in talks to buy Delhi-based
“DailyNinja currently has a large network of milkman partners, which will enable us to expand our offerings under BBDaily. Our relationship with the key national brands as well as the supply chain built over the years will help us deliver strong value proposition to them. We also aim to improve delivery productivity and achieve breakeven much sooner than planned,” said Bigbasket CEO Hari Menon.
