KOLKATA: Bata India has restructured its top management team to increase its presence in the country by way of introducing new products of international standard in the Indian market.

KOLKATA: Bata India has restructured its top management team to increase its presence in the country by way of introducing new products of international standard in the Indian market.
In its board meeting held here on Tuesday, the company appointed Steve Davies as the new managing director replacing Fernando Garcio, who will take up the new assignment in the Bata Shoe Organisation.

Former managing director of Bata India, C Morzaria, has been appointed as the executive vice-chairman.
Company sources said that the move to recast the top management was in line with the company''s policy to focus on the customer by offering greater value for money.
The company recently announced plans to develop the retail stores concept for the Indian market, with Flagship Stores, City Stores, Family Stores and Bazaar Stores.
Each of these retailing outfits would cater to various categories of customers from different age segments.
