January 16 and 17, 2026: Banks in Tamil Nadu will be closed to mark Thiruvalluvar Day and Uzhavar Thirunal.
January 23, 2026: Banks in Tripura, Odisha and West Bengal will remain shut in observance of the birthday of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Saraswati Puja (Shree Panchami), Vir Surendrasai Jayanti and Basanta Panchami.
January 26, 2026: Banks nationwide will be closed on account of Republic Day.
In addition to these, banks across the country remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
