PUNE: Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) is set to launch by September a sub-100 CC motorcycle that will be targetted at youngsters in the age group of 16-21 years, company''s president Rajiv Bajaj said on Saturday.
Addressing the 57th annual general meeting of BAL here, he said the new motorcycle would be within the reach of the lower income group.
BAL has also been in the process of building Engine Research and Development Centre in Pune.
The company would introduce four stroke engines which would be the global benchmark, Rajiv Bajaj said.
Four new scooters were also under development, he said and added exports would be given a new thrust in the current financial year.
BAL vice president Madhur Bajaj said the company was exploring makerts in Indonesia and Brazil.
He said assembly line has already been installed at Manaus, the free trade zone in Brazil.
