Axis Bank, Indiabulls plan to set up offices in London

MUMBAI: Axis Bank and Indiabulls Financial Services plan to set up offices in London to capitalize on the opportunities in the international market. Several other Indian players, including Union Bank, Punjab National Bank, ICICI Bank, State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda, Syndicate Bank, IL&FS and Kotak Mahindra, already have a presence in London.
Axis Bank will open its London office, its first subsidiary outside Asia, early next year.Indiabulls Financial Services, part of Indiabulls Group, also plans to provide non-resident Indians and persons of Indian origin mortgages for properties in India. Indiabulls Real Estate Limited has already set up its office in London this year.
