Ashok Leyland MD and CEO Vipin Sondhi steps down
CHENNAI: India’s second largest truck and bus maker Ashok Leyland on Friday said its managing director and CEO
In a statement, Leyland said that Sondhi has expressed his intention to devote more time to take care of certain personal and family commitments in the post Covid-19 pandemic situation, that require his extended presence in New Delhi. He will step down on December 31.
To assist in business continuity and a seamless transition, the board has requested
Sondhi said, “My decision is purely a personal one as I need to take care of my personal and family responsibilities, which have become a top priority. Working with the Hinduja Family and the leadership team at Ashok Leyland has been an enriching experience.”
Sondhi joined the company in December 2019. Prior to that he was the CEO of construction equipment company JCB India.
