Ashok Leyland honours Tier 1 supplier

CHENNAI: No original equipment maker (OEM) can disregard the contribution of kep Tier 1 suppliers in maintaining their supply schedule. But Ashok Leyland has now gone ahead and officially honoured one of them with an award.
WABCO India has announced that it has been recognized with a top award for support in co-location from Ashok Leyland, India’s second largest manufacturer of commercial vehicles.WABCO India is a subsidiary of WABCO Holdings Inc, a global technology leader and tier-one supplier to the commercial vehicle industry.
Ashok Leyland has honoured WABCO for its support by deploying WABCO employees at Ashok Leyland’s new manufacturing facility in Pant Nagar, India, during fiscal year 2011-12 where they worked on assembly lines to equip trucks with WABCO braking components, thus further enabling zero-defect installation.
