CHENNAI: TVS Motor Company on Thursday launched the 2020 iteration of the flagship motorcycle Apache RR310 at Rs 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India) with an updated BSVI engine and host of updated features.

Among the key highlights the RR310 now gets throttle-by-wire technology, offering four riding modes. While most mechanical remain the same, the motorcycle now sits on new Michelin Road 5 tyres. The engine delivers the same output of 32 ho and 27.5 Nm as in the earlier generation.

Visually, drastic changes haven’t been carried out, lending the perennial edgy look to the RR310. Upfront, the motorcycle features detachable visor, refreshed graphics across the body and an all-new colour scheme - dual-tone Titanium black.

In the software department, RR310 packs a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth-Enabled SmartXonnect and Control Cubes on the handlebar to toggle through.

Against the outgoing version, the 2020 avatar is dearer by Rs 11,000 and the motorcycle competes with the likes of KTM Duke 390, BMW G310R and Honda CB300R.
