HDFC Bank will undergo scheduled maintenance on Saturday, 13th September 2025, from 12:30 am to 7:30 am.
The bank says this initiative aims to enhance system performance, improve reliability, and provide a smoother banking experience.
Tip for uninterrupted paymentsDuring the maintenance, HDFC Bank has recommended that people shall use PayZapp Wallet.
Customers can pre-load the wallet and continue making payments, scanning QR codes, or transferring funds even while other banking services are down.
NetBanking and MobileBankingAll NetBanking and MobileBanking services will be unavailable during the seven-hour maintenance period. Customers will not be able to access:
- Account balances and statements
- Fund transfers (IMPS, NEFT/RTGS, outward payments)
- Profile-related updates or settings
UPI servicesHDFC Bank account holders will not be able to:
- Send or receive money
- Make merchant payments (QR or online)
- Check balances
- Set or change UPI PINs
ATM and Debit Card servicesATM withdrawals and debit card transactions will continue with restricted limits:
- Platinum & Millennia Debit Cards: up to INR 20,000
- Times Points, RuPay Platinum, Rewards, MoneyBack Debit Cards: up to INR 10,000
Non-financial services such as balance enquiry, PIN changes, card blocking, and hotlisting will remain available. These limits are combined for ATM, PoS, online, contactless, and standing instruction transactions.
Credit CardsAll credit card services will operate normally:
- Online and PoS transactions
- Balance enquiry and PIN changes
- Blocking or hotlisting cards
- Payments via BBPS for non-HDFC Bank accounts
However, RuPay UPI Credit Card payments through Mobikwik and Shriram Pay will not be available.
Forex Cards- Loading via HDFC debit cards is allowed with restricted limits
- Loading via NetBanking will not work
- International payments, PoS transactions, and ATM withdrawals will be available depending on card restrictions
- Balance enquiry at ATMs will work
IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, and e-Mandate- IMPS: Outward and inward fund transfers unavailable
- NEFT/RTGS (Outward): Payments will not be processed
- NEFT/RTGS (Inward): Credits will be processed only after maintenance
- e-Mandate: All services unavailable
Term Loan servicesAll term loan-related services will be unavailable during the maintenance period.
WhatsApp ChatBanking- Available without impact: Registration, credit card services, loan summary, insta/jumbo loan details
- Unavailable: Accounts, deposit and cheque services, profile updates, debit card transactions
FASTag- Available: Toll payments, recharge via other banks, credit/debit card recharge via other banks
- Not Available: Recharge via HDFC Bank NetBanking or UPI, auto-recharge via standing instruction
SMS Toll-free Banking- Available: Registration, credit card summary, reward points, toll-free support for credit card queries
- Not Available: All account-related, deposit, cheque, UPI, NetBanking blocking, and profile transactions
Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS)All AePS transactions, including cash withdrawal, deposit, balance enquiry, and mini statement, will be unavailable.
