(love)for (God) and for (other human beings)-- is what brings Pakistani Sufi singer Abida Parveen to Mumbaishores.
In the city for a fundraising concert tomorrow, Parveen''stravelled all over the world spreading the Sufi message of love and unity. Butthe soft-spoken singer admits that Indians have shown her lot of love in return."In all my concerts, there is always a huge number of Indians. (that love has brought me here)," she smiles. In this day and age ofglobal hatred and violence, Parveen feels the Sufiana kalam holds a lot ofrelevance.
Having grown in the of in Lahore, the divine Sufiphilosophy forms the crux of Parveen''s talent. "Sufi poetry cannot be performed. It is a conversation between Khuda (God) and the banda (man)," says Parveen.
