“I don’t believe that working out in a gym is the only way to remain fit. I don’t go to a gym but I run — about 15 kilometres twice a week. Another sport which has helped me remain fit is swimming.

I started swimming at the age of 10 and I’ve been a competitive swimmer for 10 years and a national record holder for 10 years. A swimmer, more so if you start from a young age, automatically understands the value of maintaining a balance between body and mind.�
Milind believes that an optimum level of fitness can only be achieved by taking your lifestyle into consideration. “Your lifestyle has to dictate what kind of exercise you should follow and what your diet should be. I do this unconsciously because I’m aware so I don’t follow any routine as far as my diet is concerned. I eat what my body asks for.�
And what is it that contributes to his mental well-being? “I rarely encounter stress unless I’m faced with a really serious problem. If you maintain a balance according to your lifestyle, your body and mind will function effectively.�
