Cops want BMC to share Sara Complex case report

The city police wants to examine the report of the probe conducted by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) into the Sara and Sahara shopping complexes case, which looks into the alleged nexus between the underworld and civic officers.
The report, prepared by Additional Municipal Commissioner Subrat Ratho, is still being examined by Municipal Commissioner K C Srivastava. Says Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Dr Satya Pal Singh, “I’ll request Srivastava to give us a copy so that we can match our findings.�
And Srivastava’s ready to oblige. “But now I am examining the report. I’ll decide the future course of action after reading it,� he says. Many officers feel that though the report was submitted last week, Srivastava is sitting on the matter. Srivastava, however, says, “I have no favourites. I’m not trying to defend anyone.�
