Shweta Tripathi wraps up Mumbai schedule of Mirzapur: The Movie

Actor Shweta Tripathi has completed her shooting schedule for the much-anticipated Mirzapur: The Movie, marking a key milestone in the big-screen adaptation of the web series. The film brings the gritty, violence-ridden world of Mirzapur to cinemas, making it one of the first Indian feature films to be adapted from a blockbuster streaming franchise.
Tripathi, who earned widespread acclaim for her fierce portrayal of Gajagamini aka Golu Gupta, wrapped an important leg of filming in Mumbai. The role proved to be a turning point in her career, redefining her screen image from a girl-next-door to one of the most powerful female characters in the series’ universe.
Directed by Gurmeet Singh Mirzapur: The Movie reunites much of the original cast, including Ali Fazal, Pankaj Tripathi, Divyendu Sharma, Abhishek Banerjee, Shriya Pilgaonkar and others. The film is expected to retain the raw intensity and dramatic storytelling that turned the series into a cultural phenomenon, while expanding its world on a larger cinematic scale.
