Randeep Hooda has revisited his journey of portraying the notorious Charles Sobhraj, sharing intriguing details about his preparation for the role.
In a reflective post, the actor revealed how the film marked a turning point in his craft, following his intense performance as Mahabir Bhati in
Highway. “I felt I had started to find souls instead of characters,” Randeep shared, recalling how he and director Prawal Raman discovered the essence of Charles through improvisation rather than a single defining scene.
Randeep also recounted meeting the real Sobhraj in a Nepalese prison during the film’s release, describing how they later stayed in touch through video and audio calls. “I got to know Charles after I became Charles,” he wrote.
