Dimple Saikia makes big-screen debut with Do Deewane Seher Mai

Actor Dimple Saikia has made his feature film debut with Do Deewane Seher Mai, starring Mrunal Thakur and Siddhant Chaturvedi, and directed by Ravi Udyawar.
In the film, Dimple plays Karan, a colleague and close friend to Mrunal Thakur’s character Roshni—someone quietly supportive, emotionally aware, and present through her journey. The actor revealed that landing the role was entirely unexpected, after he responded to a casting call he spotted on a WhatsApp story and auditioned the very next day.
Dimple says the character felt instinctive from the start, with little formal preparation required. Identifying closely with Karan’s emotional rhythm, he chose to approach the role organically rather than force a performance. Calling the film timely and meaningful, the actor adds that Do Deewane Seher Mai goes beyond being a feel-good watch, gently encouraging audiences to accept their flaws and emotional complexities.
