Adil Hussain replaces Milind Soman in Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business

Actor Adil Hussain has joined the cast of Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business, stepping into the role of the sensei, originally portrayed by Milind Soman in the first film.
The casting change reflects a growing trend in cinema where characters continue across films even as actors change—a practice long familiar to global franchises. The Lakadbaggha universe, billed as the world’s first animal lover vigilante universe, is among the Indian franchises embracing this evolving storytelling approach.
Best known internationally for films such as Life of Pi, Adil Hussain takes on a role that has been significantly expanded in the sequel. Lakadbaggha 2: The Monkey Business is expected to be darker and more action-driven, with the sensei character playing a crucial role in shaping the vigilante’s journey.
The film features an international martial arts lineup including Sunny Pang and Dan Chupong, alongside Indian actors Sarah Jane Dias, Vikram Kochar, and Anshuman Jha, who returns as Arjun Bakshi, an ordinary man driven by his love for animals.
