Actor Abhishek Banerjee calls 2026 a year of creative reinvention
Actor Abhishek Banerjee is gearing up for a creatively fulfilling 2026 with three diverse projects that highlight his versatility across genres and formats. He will be seen in Legacy alongside R. Madhavan, in Toaster produced by Rajkummar Rao, and in the much-talked-about anthology Lust Stories 3.
Legacy marks Abhishek’s first Tamil web series, pushing him into a new linguistic and cultural space. “Working in a different language pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best possible way. It made me more aware and reminded me why I fell in love with acting — because it constantly challenges you to unlearn and relearn,” he shared.
Speaking about being part of Lust Stories 3, he said the anthology format allows actors to explore emotional honesty and vulnerability in an intimate way.
On the other hand, Toaster explores a quirky yet layered narrative. “It may seem light on the surface, but it carries depth underneath. Being part of a story like this, especially with someone I admire like Rajkummar, makes it special,” he added.
