Balika Vadhu created history in the Indian television industry by airing maximum number of episodes so far. The story of a child bride that has been entertaining the audience since the past seven years has also earned critical acclaim. Now, it has become the longest running daily Hindi fiction show on TV, breaking the record of 1833 episodes, previously set by Kyunki... Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. It is a great accomplishment that a show has crossed this number in today's time without taking a generation leap.

Star cast: The show has boasted of a stellar cast that gained popularity among the audience. Speaking about the new phase in the show, Toral Rasputra aka Anandi, said, “Balika Vadhu has been all about Anandi for the past 7 years. And now, as Anandi’s daughter finds herself caught in the same situation and history is repeating itself, a new journey is set to begin… from the eyes from Nimboli. Over the years, Anandi’s stature has grown by leaps and bounds, and she has, today, become the voice of reason which the entire country looks up to. Stepping into the shoes of Anandi’s daughter, Gracy Goswami aka Nimboli said, “For more than a year now, I have watched Balika Vadhuwith my mother and wondered it is like for young girls who find themselves trapped in this situation. Nimboli is much like me – a mischievous young girl with a whole lot of questions in her mind. Balika Vadhu is an educative show highlighting the wrongs that happen in our society, and I feel extremely lucky to be playing the daughter of an inspirational character like Anandi. Story line: With Balika Vadhu taking an 11-year leap in the first week of March, there are many actors who will be seen on the show. We have learnt that 11-year-old Baroda girl Gracy Goswami will be playing the role of Anandi's daughter post the leap. The kid was one of the participants in India's Best Dramebaazand will be seen playing a child bride on the show. According to sources, Gracy is currently in the process of shifting base to Mumbai along with her family, who have been tutoring her about child marriage and what it entails. "Anandi's infant daughter was kidnapped from her and forced into the ritual of a thaalimarriage. However, she will be shown yearning for her lost daughter and will be unaware of her daughter's plight. After the leap, Anandi will be shown fighting for the rights of women. But she wouldn't be aware that her young daughter, Nimboli is bound to an orthodox family. Nimboli's name, too, will highlight the issue of discrimination as she will be named after the bitter fruit of a neem tree," a source informed.

Prime time: The show airs in the prime time slot which helps it in getting maximum viewership.
