Dimensionally, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny measures 3,985 mm in length, 1,645 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height. While the Force Gurkha has 4,116 mm length, 1,812 mm width and 2, 075 mm height. It is clear that the Jimny 5-door size is smaller than the Force Gurkha.
The Jimny 5-door SUV has a ground clearance of 210 mm and a wheelbase of 2,590 mm. In comparison, the Force Gurkha has a ground clearance of 205 mm and a wheelbase of 2,400 mm.
Both the off-road SUVs get ladder-frame chassis and low-range gearboxes. Speaking of the Force Gurkha, it has a mechanically locking front and rear differential. Whereas the Jimny gets a brake-based locking diff system. Jimny also comes equipped with hill hold and hill descent control that is missing in the Force Gurkha.
Maruti Suzuki Jimny has a departure angle of 47 degrees and a water wadding capacity of 300mm. On the contrary, the Force Gurkha has a departure angle of 33 degrees and an impressive water wadding capacity of 700 mm.
Powering the Maruti Suzuki Jimny is a 1.5-litre K15B petrol engine that produces 103 hp power and 134 Nm torque while being mated to a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT. The Gurkha draws power from a 2.6-litre diesel engine, producing 91 hp power and 250 Nm torque.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny uses a 9-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (on higher-spec variants) and an Arkamys surround-sense audio system. Jimny Zeta base variant gets a 7-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. While the Force Gurkha gets a 7-inch infotainment system with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
On the safety front, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes equipped with six airbags as standard. The Force Gurkha is available with dual airbags only.
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny price starts from Rs 12.74 lakh for the Zeta variant, while the Alpha manual costs Rs 13.69 lakh, and Alpha AMT is priced at Rs 14.89 lakh. The Alpha dual-tone variant price is Rs 15.05 lakh. Speaking of the Force Gurkha, it is available in a single variant, priced at Rs 15.10 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom.
