By: Prachi AhluwaliaHyundai Motor recently revealed the eighth-gen Sonata in the international market. The biggest visible change is exterior styling. Based on the Hyundai's Sensuous Sportiness styling, the sedan now looks more aggressive.
Featuring bold character lines on the sides, the 2023 Hyundai Sonata comes equipped with uniquely designed 19-inch alloy wheels. The N-Line variant sports some styling changes and N-Line badging.
Taking design cues from the India-spec 2023 Hyundai Verna, the upcoming Sonata has received a connected LED bar running across the tailgate and split LED tail lamps.
The sportier N-Line variant of the new Hyundai Sonata gets some styling changes, such as a redesigned grille with blacked-out elements, N-Line badging and quad exhaust tips.
The cabin of the 2023 Hyundai Sonata now features a new panoramic curved display, including a new 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Featuring a dual-tone cabin, the 2023 Hyundai Sonata has received a one-piece AC vent and a gear lever positioned at the back of the steering column.

Hyundai has yet not revealed the powertrain details of the new Sonata, however, we expect the standard variant to be powered by two engine options - 1.6L and 2.5L petrol. Speaking of the N-Line variant, it might come propelled by a 2.5L turbo-petrol engine with a hybrid setup.
The 2023 Hyundai Sonata will be launched in the US soon and later will be sold in other international markets. As of now, Hyundai has no plans to introduce the new Sonata in the Indian market.
