By: Harshith KnJapnese Automaker Honda recently unveiled the Elevate SUV to the Indian market. The bookings for the Elevate will start next month and the price announcement will be made during the festive season.

Comparing the dimensions, the Elevate measures 4,312mm in length, 1,790mm in width, and 1,650mm in height and has a 2,650mm wheelbase. The SUV gets 458 litres of boot space and has a segment-leading 220 mm of ground clearance.

Talking about the Hyundai Creta, the SUV measures 4,300mm in length, 1,790mm in width, 1,620mm in height and has a 2,610mm wheelbase. The SUV gets 433 litres of boot space and has ground clearance of 190mm,

The Hyundai Creta features 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped up in 215/60-section tyres. The Elevate features 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels wrapped up in 215/55-section tyres.

The Hyundai Creta gets three engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol, a 1.5-litre NA petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo-charged diesel engine.

Talking about the Elevate, the SUV gets a single engine option - a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, NA petrol engine which puts out 121 hp of power and 145 Nm of torque. Honda says that a few years down the line it will introduce a fully electric version of the Elevate SUV.

The Hyundai Creta is offered with multiple gearbox options - DCT, iVT(CVT) and manual gearbox options. The Elevate gets two gearbox options - a 6-speed manual and a CVT Automatic. The Grand Vitara additionally gets AWD.

In terms of features, the Hyundai Creta gets a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, Bose sound system, Automatic headlamps, Panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, fully digital instrument cluster, air purifier, electric parking brake, Wireless charger, Ventilated front seats, TPMS, multiple drive and terrain modes.

The Elevate gets identical 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, wireless charging, wireless smartphone integration – Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, single-pane sunroof and more. The Elevate additionally gets Honda sensing ADAS suite.

ADAS features in the Elevate include a collision mitigation braking system, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, road departure warning and automatic high beam assist.

Talking about the pricing, the price for the Hyundai Creta starts from Rs 10.87 lakh and goes up to 19.20 lakh for the strong hybrid variant. The prices for the Elevate are expected to start from Rs 10.5 lakh. (All prices are Ex-showroom).
