The Tata Tigor is a sub-compact sedan that is available at a starting price of Rs 6.19 lakh and goes up to Rs 8.90 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom) in India. Available in six variants, the Tigor comes equipped with a 7-inch infotainment touchscreen system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a fully-digital instrument cluster, and more.
Powering the Tata Tigor is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 85 bhp power and 113 Nm torque. The engine is mated with a five-speed MT/AMT unit. On the other hand, the Tata Tigor also gets a CNG variant that is powered by a 1.2L three-cylinder engine, generating 72 bhp power and 95 Nm torque. A five-speed MT is on offer.
The Hyundai Aura is a sub-compact sedan, with prices starting from Rs 6.30 lakh, while the top-spec SX Plus variant costs Rs 8.87 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). Some key highlights of the Hyundai Aura are an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, auto climate control, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Speaking of the engine options, the Hyundai Aura is powered by an 82 bhp/113 Nm 1.2L four-cylinder petrol and a 99 bhp/172 Nm 1L three-cylinder turbo-petrol. A five-speed MT/AMT is on offer. The Aura also gets a CNG option, propelled by a 1.2L four-cylinder engine, generating 69 bhp power and 95 Nm torque. Transmission options include a five-speed MT unit.
The Maruti Suzuki Dzire price starts from Rs 6.51 lakh and goes all the way up to Rs 9.38 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom) in India. It is offered in four variants - LXi, VXi, ZXi, and ZXi+. Interior features of the Dzire include a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, rear aircon vents, and keyless entry.
Mechanically, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire engine options include an 89 bhp/113 Nm 1.2L four-cylinder petrol and a 77 bhp/99 Nm 1.2L CNG. Both engine options come mated with a five-speed manual transmission.
Offered in three variants - E, S, and VX, the Honda Amaze price starts from Rs 6.99 lakh and goes up to Rs 9.60 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). In terms of features, the Honda Amaze is equipped with automatic climate control, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, cruise control, and paddle shifters (available with a CVT option). It is powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC petrol engine that produces 89 bhp power and 110 Nm torque.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is a mid-size sedan that is available at a starting price of Rs 9.30 lakh and goes up to Rs 12.29 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Some notable features of the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz are a 4.2-inch TFT Multi-Information Display, a 7-inch infotainment system, electrically-adjustable ORVMs, and rear AC vents.
Under the hood, the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is a 1.5L K15 Smart Hybrid engine that produces a peak power of 105 bhp and a max torque of 138 Nm. The engine is paired with a five-speed MT and four-speed AT unit.
Just like its ICE-powered variant, the Tata Tigor EV gets subtle tweaks, such as blue inserts and a closed grille. Offered in four trim levels - XE, XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux, the Tata Tigor EV price starts from Rs 12.49 lakh and goes up to Rs 13.75 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom). Interior features include electrically-adjustable ORVMs, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, to name a few.
Hyundai Motor India has recently introduced the new-gen Verna sedan at an introductory price of Rs 10.89 lakh. The top-spec SX (O) 7DCT variant costs Rs 17.38 lakh (both prices are ex-showroom).
Powering the 2023 Hyundai Verna is the same 1.5-litre NA petrol engine making 115 PS and 144 Nm as before. It also gets a new RDE and E20 compliant 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine, generating 160 PS max power and 253 Nm peak torque. A 6-speed manual transmission is on offer as standard, while the latter receives an optional 7-speed DCT too.
