For enthusiasts looking for a more sporty experience, Royal Enfield launched the Continental GT 650 alongside the Interceptor. Both bikes are powered by the 648 cc, parallel-twin engine producing 47 hp and 52 Nm of torque.
The Ninja 650 is another popular bike among middle-weight motorcycle buyers. The current generation gets a 649 cc single-cylinder engine producing 67.3 hp and 64 Nm torque. It has an ex-showroom price of Rs 7.12 lakh.
In 2021, Triumph launched its most affordable offering, the Trident 660 in India. It gets a 660 cc, 3-cylinder engine that produces 78 hp and 64 Nm of torque. It gets multiple riding modes, a TFT screen and ABS. Prices start at Rs 7.45 lakh ex-showroom.
Honda also offers a couple of affordable performance bikes in the country. The first is the CB650R naked motorcycle that has an ex-showroom value of Rs 9.14 lakh. For that price, you get an affordable 648cc, 4 cylinder street fighter that produces 83 hp and 57.5 Nm of torque.
For some enthusiasts, a big bike means a sporty looking fully faired motorcycle. For them, Honda offers the CBR650R. It gets the same engine and specs as the CB650R and is priced at Rs 9.34 lakh ex-showroom.
One of the popular naked bikes in the country, the Triumph Street Triple 765 offered superb performance from its 756 cc, 3-cylinder engine producing 109 hp and 73 Nm torque. However, the company has recently discontinued this model and is focusing on the larger iterations.
For those looking for performance with the retro charm, the Speed Twin 900 has been a staple choice over the years. It gets a 900 cc twin-cylinder engine which produces 63.2 hp and 80 Nm of torque and has an ex-showroom value of Rs 8.79 lakh.
The Z900 is the most popular superbike in the country, it eclipsed other models by selling 562 units in 2022 alone. At an ex-showroom price of Rs 9.02 lakh, buyers get a 948 cc in-line 4-cylinder engine that produces a whopping 123 hp of power and 98.6 nm of torque.
Another classic styled big bike that is popular in the country is the T100, it offers period correct styling with modern equipment such as dual-channel ABS, 6-speed gearbox and more. The engine is the same as the Speed Twin and it has an ex-showroom price of Rs 10.04 lakh.
For those who are willing to spend close to Rs 13.5 lakh on a bike, the Ninja 1000SX is a well balanced choice. It offers sporty riding with the convenience of touring characteristics. It is powered by a 4-cylinder, 1,043 cc engine, producing 138 hp and 111 Nm of torque.
For the top-end speed enthusiasts with deep pockets, Triumph offers the track-focused Street Triple 1200 RS mid-sized naked. It gets a 1,160 cc, 3-cylinder engine that delivers massive 175 hp of power and 125 nm of torque at an ex-showroom price of Rs 17.95 lakh.
The ZX10R is another popular choice among track riding enthusiasts. It gets multiple riding modes, Kawasaki’s 998 cc, 4-cylinder engine pushing out 197 hp and 11 Nm of torque. It enjoys a cult reputation in the motorcycle community and has an ex-showroom price of Rs 16.15 lakh.
The 3rd generation of the iconic Hayabusa gets a big 1,340 cc, 4-cylinder engine producing 184 hp and a tarmac shredding 150 Nm of torque. Average ex-showroom price for the Hayabusa is Rs 16.48 lakh.
Another poster-bike revered by enthusiasts across the country, is the BMW S1000RR. This superbike gets BMW’s 999 cc, 4-cylinder engine that produces a massive 203 hp of power and 113 Nm of torque. Average ex-showroom prices stand at Rs 20.25 lakh.
