Tesla's China-made electric vehicle sales took a downturn in November, plummeting by 17.8% compared to the corresponding month in the prior year, as per data released by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) on Monday. The figures revealed a total of 82,432 units sold during this period.

On the contrary, deliveries of China-made Model 3 and Model Y from Tesla experienced a modest increase of 14.3% when compared to October.

Meanwhile, Chinese automaker BYD achieved a milestone in passenger vehicle deliveries, reaching a record-breaking 301,378 vehicles. This marked a marginal uptick of 0.09% from October and a substantial 31% surge from the same period last year. BYD's success was attributed to its Dynasty and Ocean series of electric vehicles, along with petrol-electric hybrid models.
