Mahindra registers 22% YoY growth: XUV700, Scorpio top sales charts

Mahindra & Mahindra today announced its overall sales of 62,429 vehicles in June 2023. The company sold 32,585 SUVs last month, compared to 26,620 units in June 2o22, registering a YoY growth of 22 percent.
In the UV segment, Mahindra reported a total sales of 33,986 units, including exports in June 2023.

Mahindra XUV700, Scorpio, and Thar were some of the best-selling models last month.

"With strong demand for the SUV portfolio, we have continued our growth trend with domestic sales of 32,585 units and 22 per cent growth in June," says Veejay Nakra, President, Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.

Further, he added, "The sales of SUVs were restricted by a short-term disruption in engine-related parts at the supplier end, says the official statement. "

Going forward, he said,"The semiconductor supply constraints on specific parts like Air Bag ECU continued this month as well."


Speaking of the three-wheelers (including electric 3Ws), Mahindra registered a sales growth of 59% with 6,377 units in June 2023 against 4,008 units in the corresponding period last year.

The company reported exports of 2,505 units in June 2023 as opposed to 2,777 units in June 2022, witnessed a YoY decline of 10 percent. In FY24, exports stood at 6,934 units against 7,508 units in FY23, a decline of 8 percent.Discover everything about the automotive world at Times of India.
