Hyundai registers 8.72% domestic sales growth in August 2023: Exter, Creta in high demand

Hyundai Motor India today announced its cumulative sales of 71,435 units in August 2023. The company's domestic sales stood at 53,830 units during the last month against 49,510 units in August 2022, registering a YoY growth of 8.72 percent.

The company exported 17,605 units in August 2023, showing a growth of 38.62 percent as opposed to 12,700 units in the corresponding period last year. Overall sales for Hyundai were reported at 71,435 units last month from 62,210 units in August 2022, a YoY growth of 14.82 percent. In terms of Month-on-Month growth, Hyundai showed a positive growth of 7.97 percent in August 2023 as compared to July 2023.

Tarun Garg, COO, Hyundai Motor India said, "HMIL’s August 2023 sales number (domestic plus exports) of 71,435 units is a key indicator of an ever-growing acceptance of our products in both domestic and export markets."


Further, he added,"Demand for SUVs in our portfolio remains robust, contributing more than 60 per cent to our domestic sales in August. EXTER continues to excite customers, with more than 65,000 bookings already received by HMIL so far."
