The second day of the 2023 Auto Expo saw few but significant uneils and launches, the day began with Maruti Suzuki finally taking the wraps off the 5-door Jimny and unveiling the much speculated Fronx crossover SUV. MG Motor India took a break from electric vehicles and showcased its hydrogen cell powered MPV, the Euniq 7 and homegrown brand Tork Motors showcased the Kratos X electric motorcycle. Here is a look at all the new launches and showcases that took place at the expo on January 12.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny:
Maruti Suzuki has unveiled the Jimny 4X4 for the Indian market, the standout news for interested buyers is that the Jimny will be offered in its 5-door avatar. It gets Suzuki’s AllGrip Pro 4WD technology that was recently introduced in the Grand Vitara and gets the 1.5-litre K-series petrol engine found in the XL6 and the Ertiga. Pre-bookings are open for the Jimny and prices are expected to start at the Rs 10 lakh mark.


Maruti Suzuki Fronx:
The Front is another newly unveiled product about which many speculations have been made. Maruti Suzuki officially unveiled the crossover SUV at the Auto Expo. It gets an all-new 1-litre K-series turbo engine with smart hybrid and a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol. It gets features such as HUD, Arkamys audio, 360 degree camera and more. It has a rugged appearance due to the muscular fenders, side cladding and roof rails. Pre-bookings are open for the Fronx as well.

MG Motor Euniq 7:
MG Motor showcased the hydrogen cell powered Euniq 7 MPV on day 2 of the expo. It gets SAIC’s PROM 390 hydrogen fuel cell technology. The MPV gets a range of up to 605 km and the best part is it takes only 3 minutes to refuel. It also gets business-class like ottoman seats in the second row for added comfort.


Keeway SR250:
Keeway motorcycles seized the day by launching its new SR250 modern-retro motorcycle for India. The SR250 will compete against the likes of the TVS Ronin and gets a 223 cc single-cylinder engine making 15.7 hp and 16 nm torque. Prices for the SR250 start from Rs 1.49 lakh. It comes loaded with vintage styling, digital instrumentation and dual-channel ABS.

Tork Kratos X:
Tork Motors also unveiled the much anticipated Kratos X electric motorcycle at the expo on January 12. The Kratos gets new side panels for the production-ready version, fast charging and LCD instrumentation. It also gets a ‘Furiously Fast’ ride mode that will be experienced by media folks as soon as March-April 2023. Bookings for the Kratos will. Start some time in Q2 of this year and deliveries will begin by June 2023.
