The 2020 Santa Fe looks a bit rugged in its first glimpse. The new

Hyundai

Santa Fe will offer new electrified powertrains for the very first time. The

new Santa Fe

will be available in both

hybrid

and

plug-in hybrid

variants.

The teaser image reveals several new design features, including the combined front grille and a daytime running light (DRL). These features will give the new Santa Fe a bold character, while the geometric pattern will add to a stereoscopic aspect, said Hyundai in a release. The objective behind adding these features is to make the Hyundai Santa Fe a recognizable car.

The 2020 Santa Fe will be the first Hyundai SUV based on the new third-generation Hyundai vehicle platform. The new Hyundai platform allows for significant improvements in performance, handling and safety.
