NEW DELHI:

Suzuki Motorcycle India Private Limited

(SMIPL) on Monday launched the Fuel Injection (Fi) variant of its cruiser - the

Intruder 150

.

The

Suzuki Intruder

150 was launched in November 2017 and the company unveiled its Fi version last month at the Auto Expo 2018.

The new technology comes with 6 sensors that calculate the optimum amount of fuel required for better combustion and claims to provide an accurate throttle response across the rev-range.

Suzuki

says that it not only adds to the advanced technical superiority but also delivers an exciting riding experience and efficiency.

"Since it’s launch, the Intruder has received an overwhelming demand with close to 15,000 units sold, overachieving our projected sales target by 25 per cent. With a unique blend of premium appeal, coupled with futuristic features like ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and now an efficient Fuel Injection technology, the Intruder is a premium offering in the cruiser segment, unlike any other," said Sajeev Rajasekharan, Executive Vice President, Sales & Marketing, SMIPL.

In the looks department, the Intruder looks unique in its segment with a big bike-like design. It has a low seat and a long wheelbase which are said to make both your daily commute and the weekend ride comfortable and fun.

The 150cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine continues to deliver 14.8PS at 8,000rpm and 14Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm with the new fuel injection system as well.

A fully-digital instrument cluster, sporty dual-port exhaust pipe, LED tail lamp, beefy 41mm front forks, rear monoshock, front and rear disc brakes, and a wide 140 section rear tyre are among the other standard key features of the bike.

The new Intruder-Fi is available in black and silver colour options.
