Piaggio launches Vespa RED special edition scooter in India

Piaggio Group launches the Vespa RED in India as part of its partnership with (RED) and commitment to the fight against AIDS. The special edition scooter is priced at Rs. 87,009 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and on every purchase, it will trigger a $50 (around Rs 3,275) donation to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in India.

MUMBAI:Piaggio Group launches the Vespa RED in India as part of its partnership with (RED) and commitment to the fight against AIDS. The special edition scooter is priced at Rs. 87,009 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) and on every purchase, it will trigger a $50 (around Rs 3,275) donation to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in India.
(RED) is a highly respected worldwide brand that partners with the world’s most iconic brands that contribute up to 50 per cent of profits from (RED)-branded goods and services to the Global Fund.

Based on the Vespa 125 model, the new Vespa RED gets a red body colour to support the organisation along with complementing 12-inch red alloy wheels. The version also receives a red art leather seat beside the other standard features of the scooter.
Powered by a 125cc, three-valve engine, the Vespa 125 offers 10PS of power and 10.6Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.
The classic style scooter is based on a strong monocoque chassis and features a unique single-sided front suspension for aesthetic appeal. A 220mm front disc brake and trendy digital instrument cluster are among the other key features of the scooter.
The company is also offering colour coordinated exclusive (VESPA)RED merchandise including a helmet, T-shirt and hat which can be purchased from the Vespa dealerships.
