NEW DELHI: Nissan Motor India
on Tuesday announced the launch of a Sport edition of its
Terrano
with a price tag of Rs 12.22 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The version gets special interior and exterior elements along with some additional features.
The
Nissan Terrano Sport
comes with dedicated body decals with an all-black roof wrap, black wrapped pillars and new wheel-arch claddings. It also gets interesting red stripes on the hood, fenders, rear bumper and doors. The interior features new crimson-stitched seat covers and floor mats with crimson highlights for a sporty feel.
The company's latest integrated information and communication platform, NissanConnect, also comes standard with the Sport edition. It comes with more than 50 features, including geo-fencing, speed alert, curfew alert, nearby pit stops, locate my car and share my car location, and connects with the customer’s smartphone. The mobility package is offered with three years of free services.
Standard features of the SUV -- such as premium dual tone interior, seven-inch touchscreen navigation system, steering mounted audio/phone control, touch lane change indicator, dual-airbags, daytime running lights, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) and EBD with BA (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution with Braking Assistance) -- remains unchanged.
The Terrano is available in three engine options, including a 1.6-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel in two different states of tunning. The engines come mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard while the top-spec trim also gets a six-speed automatic option.
