New BMW 330i Gran Turismo M Sport launched in India

BMW has expanded its 3series GT lineup in India with the launch of 330i Gran Turismo M Sport. Offering a blend of luxury-class with sportiness, the German carmaker's new offering has been priced at Rs 49.40 lakh (ex-showroom).

GURUGRAM:BMW has expanded its 3series GT lineup in India with the launch of 330i Gran Turismo M Sport. Offering a blend of luxury-class with sportiness, the German carmaker's new offering has been priced at Rs 49.40 lakh (ex-showroom).
Now, the BMW 3 Series GT is available in one diesel (320d GT Luxury Line) and two petrol (330i GT Luxury Line and 330i GT M Sport Edition) variants.
The new variant is locally produced at the company's Chennai facility and now can be ordered from BMW dealerships.
Commenting on the launch, Vikram Pawah, President, BMW Group India, said that the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo established a new vehicle concept in the segment and became a trailblazer with its unique and modern character.
"The new BMW 330i Gran Turismo M Sport with a perfect blend of sporting character, impressive performance and appealing design makes every journey an unforgettable experience. Combining the best of excellent practicality and long-distance comfort, the new BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo is the perfect vehicle for individuals with an active lifestyle," he said.
BMW 330i GT M Sport

The M Sport package brings an extra dose of sportiness to the styling with M aerodynamic package and 18-inch M star spoke alloy wheels along with M badging on the front side panels. The front gets bolder kidney grille slats in black high-gloss and tailpipe finisher in chrome high-gloss. The vehicle key is also designed with M strip.
The longer wheelbase results in better cabin space inside the new 330i GT M Sport. The interior also creates an M Sport exclusive ambience with sport seats for driver and passenger, M leather steering wheel, headliner in Anthracite and the M door sill finishers. It also features the BMW Head-Up display for more relaxed driving with complete concentration on the road ahead.

Powering the new BMW 330i Gran Turismo M Sport is a TwinPower Turbo petrol engine that churns out 252PS and delivers a peak torque of 350Nm at 1,450 – 4,800 rpm. The motor comes mated to an eight-speed Steptronic Sport automatic transmission and offers four different driving modes - Comfort, ECO PRO, Sport, Sport+. BMW claims that the car accelerates from 0 -100kmph in just 6.1 seconds and returns an impressive efficiency of 15.34kmpl on average.
The advanced safety package of the new GT comprises of six airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) with brake assist, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Side-impact Protection, ISOFIX child seat mounting, Run-flat tyres with reinforced sidewalls, electronic vehicle immobiliser and crash sensor.
Other key features include an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment with 3D maps navigation, BMW apps, Park Distance Control (PDC), and multiple connectivity options.
While the newly-launched Audi A5 Sportback is the only direct alternative to the BMW 330i GT M Sport edition, one can also opt for the other luxury sedans like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and the Jaguar XE in the similar price bracket.
