Bajaj
has launched the
ABS
variant of its new Pulsar
NS 200
model at Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Costing around Rs 12,600 over and above the standard model, the new trim
features
a single channel Anti-lock Braking System that assists the front 280mm petal disc brake.
The feature is exactly similar to the full-faired
Pulsar
RS 200 ABS which already comes with the same Bosch single-channel ABS.
Apart from the new safety point, there is no change in the bike and it continues to offer the same aggressive styling in three colour options -- Black, White and Red -- along with sporty decals.
The 152kg weighing Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 is powered by a 199.5cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. The single-cylinder motor churns out 23.5PS at 9,500rpm and a peak torque of 18.3Nm at 8,000rpm.
The entry-level performance motorcycle gets a nitrox rear monoshock, front and rear disc brake and wide tubeless tyres among the other standard key features. Now, the new optional feature will further make it a stronger player in the market where it competes with the likes of the
TVS Apache
RTR 200 4V and the
Yamaha FZ25
.
