NEW DELHI:

Mercedes

on Friday launched

AMG GLC

43 Coupe in India at Rs 74.80 lakh (ex showroom). This was the company's eight launch of the year here and it was also marked by the celebration around 50 years of

AMG

technology.

The GLC 43 is essentially a coupe shaped SUV powered by a 3-litre V6 bi-turbo petrol engine and has a peak power of 367hp and torque figures of 520Nm.




It is capable of going from naught to 100kmph in 4.9 seconds.

Air Body Control

suspension, nine-speed auto transmission and the choice of drive modes are also present.




The car itself looks sporty with a mammoth diamond-pattern front grille, large alloys and generous additions of chrome all around.

Space on the inside looked adequate for four passengers while the 491-litre boot - expandable to over 1200 litres with second-row seats down - has a large mouth to accommodate luggage.






A long list of additional features include an all-wheel drive, LED intelligent lighting system as standard and an electric sunroof. Speaking at the launch, MD and CEO of Mercedes India -

Roland Folger

said that the car is targeted at the elite customer looking for a 'no-compromise ride.' "The GLC is a key addition to our 43 AMG range and will be instrumental in further popularising the 43 AMG range to a new customer base," he said.
