Luxury sports car manufacturer Lamborghini launched the special edition version of the Huracan supercar with the Avio moniker, at an event in Delhi on Thursday. A tribute to the aviation industry to which
Lamborghini
owes both its design and technology, the car comes with a sticker price of Rs 3.71 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
First showcased at the
Beijing Motor Show
earlier this year, the
Huracan Avio
will get no more than 250 units globally in order to maintain exclusivity. The car will be offered in a choice of five colour options - pearlescent finish Grigio Falco and matte shades of Blu Grifo, Grigio Nibbio, Grigio Vulcano and Verde Turbine.
The special edition tag of the Avion is justified by offset racing stripes, contrast-coloured lower half and 'L63' decals on the door, indicating the birth year of the company in 1963. The interiors are separated from the basic
Huracan
with
Alcantara
upholstery, white stitching and laser engraved 'l63' emblems on the seats.
The supercar remains identical to its LP610-4 sibling, under the hood, as it is powered by the 5.2-litre, V10 engine that churns out 610PS of power and 560Nm of torque. The naturally aspirated motor comes mated to a 7-speed dual clutch transmission that transmits power to all four wheels.
With this powerplant, the Avio will be able to race to 100kmph from dead halt in a breath-taking 3.2 seconds as the double is completed in a mere 9.9 seconds.
