NEW DELHI: The fifth generation of Honda’s successful scooter brand

was revealed at the

Auto Expo

2018. The new Activa 5G gets a Deluxe variant and comes with a digital-analog instrument cluster with an ECO speed and Service Due Indicator.

Honda

claims that the full LED headlamp and position lamp are ‘industry first’ in any 110cc two-wheeler segment in India.

The 4-in-1 lock with a seat opener switch and the front hook and retractable rear hook are claimed to have for added convenience. The two-wheeler also gets a metal muffler protector for higher durability.

The scooter, with a fuel-tank capacity of 5.3 litre, uses the same 109cc, single-cylinder engine as the previous versions, and churns out a maximum power of 8bhp and a peak torque of 9Nm. The Activa 5G weighs about 108kg.

The Activa 5G will be available in two shades - Dazzle Yellow Metallic and Pearl Spartan Red.
