The newly-launched variants are driven by a 2.0-litre petrol mill, capable of churning out 252PS and a peak torque of 370Nm. It comes mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission which is also available on the diesel counterparts.

Power is sent to all four wheels via Audi’s signature quattro system and there are five drive modes -- comfort, dynamic, efficient, auto and off-road -- to select from.

In terms of body-design, both the petrol and diesel variants of the new

look alike. There is a single-frame grille, matrix LED headlamps (only available in the top-spec variant), five-spoke alloy wheels and the only difference in the petrol version is the '45 TFSI' badging on its rear.

The Q5 gets an 8.3-inch infotainment system that has wireless smartphone connectivity compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also offers a Heads-Up Display (HUD) and a three-zone automatic climate control among other features.
