NEW DELHI: Italian automaker
Piaggio
has launched the updated 2018 version of its
Aprilia SR 150
performance scooter in India. Priced at Rs 70,031 (ex-showroom, Pune), the new model gets both cosmetic changes and new features.
Alongside the standard version, the company has also launched the
SR 150
Carbon and the
SR 150 Race
models, priced at Rs 73,500 and Rs 80,211 (both ex-showroom, Pune) respectively.
The
Aprilia
SR 150 facelift gets new colours – blue and grey -- along with revised graphics. The added features include LCD screen in the instrument cluster and adjustable suspension. These features come alongside the existing features of the scooter like the 14-inch alloy wheels, 220mm front disc brake and split headlamp. It also gets a USB charging port and connectivity feature as optional extras.
There is no change in the powertrain and the Aprilia SR 150 continues to get 10.5PS of power from the 150cc, three-valve engine. The motor comes mated to a CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) automatic drive.
The Aprilia Carbon SR 150 is a limited edition model, inspired by carbon components in high-performance Aprilia supersport motorcycles. The version comes in an all-black theme, complemented with carbon graphics and connectivity feature as standard.
The new Aprilia SR 150 Race is inspired from the RS-GP superbike, specially designed for MotoGP racing. It brings in a red and green RS-GP theme on the white coloured scooter. The version also gets red-painted alloys, golden brake caliper and tall fly-screen along with specially designed race theme helmet and factory fitted mobile connectivity feature.
The company has also added three new colours -- Matt Rosso Dragon, Matt Yellow and Azzuro Provenza -- with machine cut alloy periphery wheels to its range of
Vespa scooters
. Another addition o the range is an all black limited-edition
Vespa
Notte, available at Rs 68,829 (ex-showroom Pune).
