Ultraviolette X-47 gets new affordable base variant: Price, key details
Bengaluru-based electric vehicle startup Ultraviolette has expanded the X-47 Crossover lineup in India with the launch of a new entry-level variant priced at Rs 2.49 lakh, ex-showroom. With this addition, the electric adventure motorcycle is now available in six variants.
The newly introduced base trim is positioned Rs 15,000 below the X-47 Original variant, which continues to be priced at Rs 2.64 lakh, ex-showroom. The biggest difference between the new variant and the higher-spec trims is the absence of Ultraviolette’s Hypersense radar-based rider assistance system.
The Hypersense package includes several safety technologies such as blind-spot detection, rear collision warning, lane change assist and overtake alerts. Ultraviolette says the X-47 is the first motorcycle to feature Integrated Radar Technology, but the company has now introduced a more affordable version for buyers who may not require those features.
Otherwise, the X-47 still gets traction control, dynamic stability control, dual-channel ABS, hill hold assist and park assist. It also offers Glide, Combat and Ballistic riding modes. Feature highlights on the electric motorcycle include a 5-inch touchscreen display, smartphone connectivity, tyre pressure monitoring system, Type-C charging support, Violette AI integration, dashcam functionality and three levels of regenerative braking.
Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged. The X-47 continues with a 7.1 kWh battery pack paired with a 27 kW electric motor. Ultraviolette claims the electric motor produces 36.2 hp and 550 Nm of torque. The motorcycle can sprint from 0-60 kmph in 2.8 seconds and has a claimed top speed of 145 kmph. The company also claims an IDC-certified riding range of 211 km on a single charge.
