As part of a safe tuning initiative, Aachen-based tuning company AC Schnitzer has amped up a BMW i4 M50 Gran Coupe for the German police. The ’Tune It! Safe!’ campaign has been a nationwide movement that dates back 17 years, focused at showing how tuning is possible while staying within the permissible regulations. Here is everything you need to know about this special cop car.
Design changes:The safe tuned BMW i4 EV features the automaker’s aerodynamics package for the particular model, this includes a front spoiler, front splitter, side wings, rear roof spoiler rear side wings and a carbon rear spoiler. AC Schnitzer’s has rounded off the design by adding a special rear skirt protection film and livery on either side.
Being an enforcement vehicle, it also gets a Hella signalling system and Foliatec foil decor and Securlux safety foil rear windows.
