Nissan Arizon EV SUV concept showcased at Shanghai Motor Show

Nissan recently showcased the Arizon electric SUV concept at the current Shanghai Motor Show 2023. The company says that the new SUV concept will evolve into a ‘drive-centric’ SUV in the near future. The Arizon EV concept is based on the CMF EV platform, which is a co-product of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance.

The Nissan Arizon EV SUV concept is equipped with an enclosed grille, sleeker-looking headlamps and dual-tone alloy wheels. The rear profile is flanked by a full-width LED light bar, sharp lines and Arizon lettering on the bumper. The Nissan Arizon EV concept has not received a C-pillar, however, the production model will be different.

On the inside, the Nissan Arizon electric SUV is equipped with a lightning system with facial recognition that automatically adjusts the lighting level according to the driver’s preference. The lightning system gets four modes - Relax, Sleep, Surprise and Leisure.

Moreover, the Nissan Arizon EV SUV also come equipped with an automatically-dimming panoramic sunroof. Other key features include Eporo (virtual personal assistant) which is equivalent to Amazon Alexa or Apple Siri.

Will Nissan Arizon EV come to India? The company has showcased the Nissan Leaf EV in the Indian market twice, but as of now, it has no plans to launch the same in India. In other updates, Nissan and Renault are working to introduce multiple petrol-hybrid and petrol SUVs, including Made-in-India cars and CBU units. Meanwhile, the new-gen Renault Duster has also been spotted testing globally in March 2023 and is likely to mark its India debut in 2025. Stay tuned!
