MG is all set to make an appearance for the second time at the biennial Auto Expo due to begin on 13th January. While the company will showcase many of its ICE (internal combustion engine) vehicles, the focus will rest on electric cars. The MG4 electric hatchback is due to debut during the upcoming motor show. Also, MG will be taking the wraps off a new small EV concept for the Indian market.

MG's portfolio at the Expo will have EVs and hybrids that include the MG4, MG5, MG6, and the new EV concept. Interestingly, MG Air will not be present at the venue. The two-door Air EV was one of the most anticipated cars at the 2023 Auto Expo, but it has now been confirmed that the company will not be bringing it to Delhi Expo, and perhaps a launch will take place later on.
One of the reasons why the Air is not making an appearance at the Expo could be that MG doesn't want it to share the centre stage with the new EV concept which, if priced at about Rs 10 lakh, will be a groundbreaking move for the company.

MG6 should be an interesting spectacle as well, considering MG does not have a sedan in India. The MG6 is on sale in international markets. It is powered by a 1.5-litre engine that puts our 250 Nm and it boasts a top speed of 210 km/h, with a 0-100 km/h sprint time of seven seconds.
Of the other MG cars at the Expo, the MG4 should gather a crowd around it. Unlike the Air, the MG4 is not a small hatchback. It is about the same size as the MG ZS EV but picks design cues from the Cyberster roadster concept. It would likely come with two battery packs, promising a WLTP range of up to 452 km. Sharing stage with the hybrid and EV cars will be the facelift Hector and Hector Plus.
