Given the two-door layout, the MG Comet EV is the smallest one here as far as length, width and wheelbase are taken into consideration. However, the MG EV is the tallest one here with a height of 1640 mm. Meanwhile the Citroen eC3 is the longest out of the three, as well as the widest, and also has the longest wheelbase.

While the MG Comet EV gets a smallish boot, official capacity of which is yet to be ascertained, the Citroen eC3 gets 315 litres of space in the trunk, while the Tata Tiago EV has a 240-litre boot space.


Battery pack, charging time & range
The MG Comet EV gets the smallest battery pack in this comparison, with its 17.3 kWh unit providing a range of 230 km on a single charge. The Tata Tiago EV is available with two different battery pack options, with an MIDC certified range ranging from 250 - 315 km. The Citroen eC3 gets the biggest battery pack here (29.2 kWh), providing a 320 km range on a single charge.

The MG Comet EV gets a standard 3.3 kW charger that will fully juice up the battery in 7 hours, however, the small EV misses out on fast charging capability unlike the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3.

Electric motor
The MG Comet's rear mounted electric motor produces 42 PS and 110 Nm. In contrast, the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3 both get front-mounted electric motors. The Tata EV is offered with two different configurations, with power and torque output going up to 75 PS and 114 Nm respectively. The Citroen eC3's motor generates 57 PS of max power and 143 Nm of peak torque.

As per the company claims, the Tata Tiago EV's long range version can dash from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.7 seconds, Citroen says that the eC3 can achieve the same feat in 6.8 seconds. No official acceleration numbers for the MG Comet EV are available as of yet.

Price
The full pricing for the MG Comet EV has now been announced, and currently ranges from Rs 7.98 lakh to Rs 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom) as a part of the introductory offer - valid for first 5,000 customers only.
