Earlier this year, the company also showcased its Born Electric Vision range of SUVs in the UK. The XUV400 EV will be followed by other electric vehicles by the brand in India over the next few years.

Through these partnerships, Mahindra states that it hopes to strengthen the EV charging infrastructure in India. Leveraging the strengths of the EV infrastructure partners, the company aims to offer benefits to all stakeholders in the EV ecosystem.

“We approach these partnerships as an opportunity to offer robust EV infrastructure solutions to our customers, quickly. This will also help us in moving a step forward towards achieving India’s net-zero goals,” Veejay Nakra, President - Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., said.

The all-electric XUV400 is based on the Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV. The electric SUV is expected to begin reaching dealerships soon, followed by opening of bookings and price announcement sometime in January 2023.
